As someone with a son that was just 6 yrs old a month ago, I ain't tryna hear that "rehab" shyt. He shot a teacher, but it hit different when he eventually shoots another 6 yr old he has a disagreement with.

This unfortunately. I've known and heard of stories of kids growing up in fuked up environments and the may have acted up and got in more serious trouble as they got into their early teens but this sounds like something much more serious.

THis is all too common in schools now. Kids see teachers as oppressors that have to be put down violently.

At this point, we need virtual learning or embrace the Scandinavian/ TED Talks education model to ease off the elevating tension between teachers and students.

This didn’t happen as often back in the day. We had a few kids who goofed off, and it was the same kids all the time. Now, these kids aren’t taught to respect authority. They can’t handle not getting their way. And I wouldn’t be surprised if their parents are constantly beating them for the slightest offense, and they learn to use violence when they don’t get their way. So when the teacher, who is the authority figure is telling them what to do everyday, they see them as the enemy. We also know grades and test scores are down. The parents are not teaching the kids respect, or the importance of getting an education. This is not the government’s job. It starts at home. And yes, there are some kids with mental health problems, but that doesn’t always mean violence.

In what world are kindergarten and preschool teachers expected to defend themselves from toddlers? That's not normal, even for "regular" bad kids at that age.
