If we assume that Trump really is compromised in some way by the Russians. And we have seen that Trump is willing to push the boundaries of what might otherwise be considered unacceptable (praising a foreign adversary; inviting hacking) in the interest of 1) not giving Putin reason to burn him and 2) benefiting from whatever it is he is getting in exchange (money etc).
What could you imagine the Russians asking of Trump that he would reject, even if the alternative would be the exposure of all of the information he is trying so hard to keep secret (lets assume piss tape, financial dealings, dreams of a world wide white nationalist uprising are all true)? At what point does Trump's self interest give way to the interests of the US?
