Automation isn't fukking up anything. Productivity growth (robots) has been historically slow in recent years

Automation isn't a real problem until AI goes through one or two more phases of reinvention. Complete automation isn't efficient until the maintenance and QA pieces are self-aware.

No it isn't.

The cotton gin was supposed to kill all jobs...

Then it was electricity...

Then it was the assembly line...

Then it was the tractor...

Then it was computers...

Now it's...machines?

At the end of the day people have to make the machines that automate.

For example, a new McDonalds near my place uses all kiosks for ordering now and no live person. But people still have to make, design, code, sell and service those machines. It's changing jobs more so than eliminating them...
