"Meet Keila D. Ravelo. She’s a graduate of Columbia University Law School who went on work at Clifford Chance before becoming a partner at Hunton & Williams, and later a partner at Willkie Farr & Gallagher. She then married and lived happily ever after… thanks to her alleged multimillion-dollar crime spree.
The government accuses Ravelo and her husband, Melvin Feliz, of creating dummy companies and then funneling millions of dollars from both of her former firms — more than $5.75 million, to be exact — to those companies for “legal consulting fees” on work that was never done. According to the Bergen Record, Ravelo reportedly used that money to fund a lavish lifestyle for herself and her husband.
Speaking of Ravelo’s husband, it seems that he’s got a host of his own legal problems. Earlier this year, he accumulated various drug charges after being named as the alleged leader of a drug trafficking ring where he reportedly sought to transport almost 50 pounds of cocaine from California to New Jersey. Hmm, the couple that allegedly commits crime together does time together?
As for Ravelo’s alleged misdeeds, in the latest Am Law 100 rankings, Willkie Farr’s average profits per partner $2.235 million. Apparently that’s just not enough these days to sate partners who are starving for luxurious items, like paintings worth $125,000 and Miami condos with $325,000 of equity (both used as part of Ravelo’s security to post bond; she also handed over a $200K retirement fund).
Attention Biglaw: you know your partners clearly aren’t being given high enough draws if they’re allegedly forced to lead lives of crime."
Of course, she's a sista....![]()
How are you going to be a big-time lawyer and MARRY a criminal?
Why do some of our most accomplished women get with the lowest-hanging men?
She would probably be the same woman who rejected the guy in her law school class for not being exciting enough or being too nice.
Brehs? Brehettes?

I mean, female posters are all-too-quick to jump on black men when they're caught up in BS and then make judgments (implicit or otherwise) on the majority of BM.Why do I need to? If she threw her babies in a dumpster would you be tagging me asking for condemnation?
there are people regardless of race and gender, who commit theft of an employer daily
It says she got her law degree in 92...
which means she graduated from college in like 89,
which means she finished high school in 85,
which means she grew up in the crack era so drug dealing ain't "whoa" to her...You are who you are
reading that shyt from the sarcastic type tone i'm like "I bet a white woman wrote this shyt". I check the article and sure enough, written by a "Staci Zaretsky"
"Staci Zaretsky's" peoplesprollydoin the exact same shyt or worse on wall street, doin worse around the whole damn world, shyt she prolly learned that shyt from them. You play with these dogs you get fleas, then when shyt get different they use the dirt they got you into as a contingency, on some alonzo training day shyt
But they got this bytch staci waynegretzski over here writin little sardonic articles on some moral authority shyt
And I'm supposed to help this staci bytch shyt on a black woman and man for doin the same shyt her peoples prolly doin or even lightweight compared to that, so you can shyt on black women?
Nah fam, I'm good. I ain't pro drug dealing or embezzlement, i'm just sayin...![]()
It was more of a "where's the black solidarity" narrative but OK.Just correcting your "woe is me, oppressed Black Women" narrative

It was more of a "where's the black solidarity" narrative but OK.
Because of the circumstances of the OPs gender and his agenda with this thread. Had a black woman made this thread on some "nikkas ain't shyt", I would have saidnthe same thing but flipped the genders.YOU singled out BM for a behavior that both genders exhibit.
I think its very evident with my crush on Russell Wilson that I'm not attracted to drug dealers or anything like that so I have no idea why you tagged me![]()

OK you and @Poitier are right. Black women love thugs amnd /or white men and pass up good black men everyday because of their ridiculously high standards and are always trying to delfect blame on others and are the reason for the downfall of the black community.Funny how most of y'all care about black solidarity when y'all are clearly in the wrong and are being called out for it.

Now please leave me alone, stop quoting, and tagging me in your "black men vs black women" threads.
Great now that you've corrected me, you can be about your way.Don't put words in my mouth.
I didn't tag you in shyt. You said some idiotic shyt and got corrected.
