this argument shows why black people should not be liberals or conservatives

black people are poor because of both institutional racism and because of a poverty mentality, anybody that says one without the other is saying a half truth
Nah, chattel slavery and systemic racism as well as systematic bias are the reason Black people are poor, "poverty mentality" is only an incredibly small portion of it, and only affects certain groups of people, not Black people as a whole.
What does this have to do with being "liberal or conservative?" :gucci:

It has everything to do with liberal and conservative

Liberals believe that problems can be fixed through institutional reform, conservatives believe it's a cultural problem

Why would black people have to choose between the 2?

As far as your other comments, poverty mentality is a product of chattel slavery and systematic racism so the notion that it just effects a small portion is a lie, it's very much widespread

The bottom line is that black people need to address both and black people should avoid trying to separate the 2 issues, in fact separating the 2 issues has the side effect of supporting white supremacy, because choosing one leads to white liberals or conservatives setting the agenda for black people

Also, there's no denying there is a much different mindset, from those who are born, and live daily in poverty, it has psychological effects, like any other condition, however that is still a condition of the poverty inflicted upon them, by forces out of their control.
