This is the only answer. None of those other albums were next level like 3 Feet in 89 nor does 3 Feet have any skipables. Pauls Boutique was cool but the wack lyrics is why that album loses points.

1) The layers of sampling is something that we will never see again unless Kanye divorces Kim and starts eating 5 dollar heros again. Rza refered to this album as a masterpeice on production alone.

2) Everyone was biting skits after this album

That Blueprint album even KRS said was low grade on the production side. :francis:

:mjlol: @ the Gangstarr album cover.

Realistically, 3 Feet High & Rising. But I voted for All Hail The Queen because it's a dope album that deserves more shine.

Yeah, i kinda expected most people to have not heard these early golden age albums, but only a few songs from them.

Just had to include the late 1980s albums for the olders

No One Can Do it Better is not only the best PRODUCED album of 1989, I put it up there as one of the best produced albums Dr. Dre ever done. Both Paul's Boutique and 3 Feet High and Rising were innovative albums mainly due to sampling everything under the sun. But name a joint that was better than THE FORMULA? or THE DOC & THE DOCTOR? or MIND BLOWING with some of the most amazing DJ scratching and mixing ever??? Or FUNKY ENOUGH??? or the TITLE TRACK?

The only reason why Beastie's 2nd album (which in 1989 was considered a FLOP) and DE LA SOUL' album got praised were mostly due to their innovative ways they did with sampling.... but that ALONE doesn't mean it was the NICEST out that year.

That said.... JUNGLE BROTHERS 2nd album was SEVERELY UNDERRATED... the BEATS ON THAT ALBUM WERE NEAR FLAWLESS.

Opinions are subjective but.....Me Myself And I was better and bigger then all them songs u mentioned......Me Myself And I was doing the type of funk Dr Dre would do years later while Dre was still trying to sound East Coast on that DOC album.....

Me Myself And I was 10 x bigger then anything DOC did that whole year. Lie to yourself and say it wasn't.

Me Myself And I had more quotables.

Me, Myself And I is in the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame.....DOC has nothing in the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame.
