Best Dre album IMO. Still replayable front to end. Production still holds up great. Lyrically dope too (Hittman= GOAT Dre ghostwriter.)

so many great songs..hard to say which is best. It's between Still DRE and Xxplosive for me.

DISCLAIMER: my poll option is messing up and won't let me add Bang Bang and The Message, so if either of those are your vote just say so.

So many classics but Still D.R.E. still is the GOAT beat, one of the GOAT hooks, and Jay's writing had Dre spitting at his peak, even Snoop's shyt talking at the end was :banderas:. This was before he switched up his flow to the trash he been using these years

the wun where KURUPT says "Bytch Nuh, you more of a bytch than a bytch"
This right here.

XXplosive

Probably the best Nate Dogg verse ever. Top 2 definitely with that melody he carried :ohlawd:
Kurupt's verse couldn't be played on radio
The beat is smooth as fukk
that dope little xylophone in between lines on Nate's verse
that broad saying "no ideal" in the intro
Hittman had his best verse ever

Here baby hit the bone/While the West Coast rolls along

I'll be
still making gangsta hits
you'll be
still jocking gangsta dikks

Scott Storch's opening piano riff on Still DRE + Jay's writing :wow:

The beat on Xxplosive + Kurupt's verse :wow:

2 of Nate Dogg's GOAT verses on the album:wow:

Eminem and Hittman's lyrical/ghostwriting work :wow:

Funny skits :wow:

The Watcher, Big Egos, bytch nikkaz, The Message, Next Episode, and so on :wow:

This is one of the few Hip-Hop albums I'd consider perfect from a sonic perspective. I'm amazed at the clarity and quality of sound everytime I play it.

Of course I could say Still Dre, Next Episode or Xplosive but to get some diversity here I'll say "fukk You" with Snoop & Devin
The beat is just :blessed::noah::ohlawd::lawd:
Dre's verse is cool, Devin comes fukkin dope but Snoop fukkin murders his verse, his flow on here :noah::noah::noah:

While I'm at it...2001=GOAT Aftermath album. IMO Easily better than MMLP, GRODT, Documentary, GKMC

Sure wish the team from this album had stayed on board (Storch, Hittman, Mel-Man)
