Ny rap is so boxed in mainstream wise that there is no breathing room for anything that would actually push the envelope...

I don't get the song's hype either. IMO, today's generation buys more into image than content & Cardi seems to have a likeable personality.

She saying shyt for people to chant and feel empowered when they say it. The whole song is her saying shot people with they could say about themselves so it works
