Agreed. There are construction kits, midi files, mixing presets etc. where all you have to do is change the sounds from a template and you have a completed beat.

Everything when we put it side by side, has to stand out some how. If that's not the case we could say all edm sounds the same. We may say it sounds the same because that's whats dominating the mainstream now, That's like saying all clasical music sounds the same. While it's true that it has its similarities its differences have to set it apart. in the classical period they all bit off of each other. Today's no different.
