i was just bout to post this but then it came up in the thread title while i was typin' it out

jigga's "can i get a...." was actually ja's song for his 1st album and ja wrote the hook. jigga heard it and told irv "just give me the record and we could put ja on it and you gon break ja"..... then once ja and irv gave jay the song and it blew up, ja felt some type of way because it was a huge song on a blockbuster soundtrack (rush hour) and he went on to say what that song did for jay could've done for me and jay didn't like ja sayin' that shyt lmao
but yooooooo, this was actually a really good one

Yeah definitely, I don't think Irv would have let Jay sell him short, and I don't think Jay would have tried to either way, seeing as how they know each other.

I think Ja is imagining what could have happened, which probably wouldn't have happened, so he felt a way about it... But it's not as if Ja didn't have a solid career, tbh dude's problem was 50, he just wasn't adjusting to times and his persona wasn't there. It's like what are you supposed to be? We've only known him as the thug R&B singer rapper.

And I'm not throwing shade at Ja, thats my guy.
