I just went thru HOE, MM and Infamy last week. I get that the voice/flow change comes with age but I still can't believe how his pen game fell the fukk off.

I'm prolly the biggest P Stan here but sometimes I think his shyt was ghostwritten.

It's not even so much his pen game, but it's his energy and presence that he lost. Dude turned into a zombie :sadbron:

The funny thing is that on the flip side, Havoc in general seems to be in much better shape than P musically, going off his work on 13. He still raps the same way, and is still good at producing.

Even in the Mobb's prime I always felt that Hav was sorta underrated as an MC. IMO he was right there with P as an MC. P just had Havoc beat on presence and charisma.

Prodigy on Hell on Earth was soooooo fukkin dope, yo what the fukk happened to dude? Was it his health condition? I mean, that's gotta be it for real. I never heard a definitive reason for him droppin like that. As a West Coast nikka, even after that 90s beef shyt, I thought Prodigy was on his way to being unstoppable right behind Nas as far as East Coast nikkas go.

P is literally Mr. "What happened to that nikka" when it comes to all time MCs....dude was in another world on those first three albums. Very few MCs/groups can say that they had a three album run like they did, and Prodigy and Havoc as a duo are rivaled only by the likes of OutKast and UGK in my opinion when it comes to chemistry.

That's gotta be it. shyt just don't add up. The funny thing is, I've never heard any interviewer question him about it, at least not in a nikka you wack now way. :lolbron:

the thing w/ p was, he'd go into detail, on a rhyme. it's like kool g rap on a storytelling joint...he wasn't just telling you he was shooting a gun, he told you the clip size, the type of bullets he was using, and how many times he had to reload. it wasn't just the lyricism, or how many syllables he could fit into a verse, it was how he delivered it as well. now, he's more so uninspired. why? i couldn't tell you, but there's no doubt that hell on earth prodigy, is one of the best mc's to ever grab a mic.

I don't see it. Enlighten a brother post his best verses becuase he doesn't spit anything that sets him apart from the gangsta rappers from his era.
