It's not the best beat he's ever done, but man that Cocaina beat is so fukking dope.

I wish he'd given that someone else. Busta did okay, but Snoop would have killed it. 50 would taken it up by like 5 levels too around that period.

Would have been interesting to hear what Dre would have rapped about over the "G'd Up" beat.

Can't imagine him spitting on "Gunz come out" I'm glad 50 got that beat, once of my favorite tracks off "The Massacre".

But based on these beats Detox would have been a solid album, I hope Dre recorded vocals for these beats back then, then they could leak sometime in the future.

I need either Here We Go Again or Hard Liquor on there as a single too,

and I liked that "listen to me" with Banks and Jadakiss.

That's not ALL the Detox beats, even Quik has said Dre has like 400 beats in the stash just for Detox

I know people think otherwise, but Dre beats will never sound outdated to me.

Those drums and that clean sound is :ahh:

hella repetitive

some basic piano loop with cleanly mixed drums

sometimes throw in some soothing female vocals for the chorus or some other layering

rinse and repeat

Not that some of that stuff doesn't bang, but I like early Dre stuff a lot better than most of his newer stuff
