Awesome Value– Besides the great games in The Vault, EA Access members will save 10% on purchases of EA digital content for Xbox One offered through the Xbox Games Store. From full digital-download titles like the upcoming Dragon Age™ Inquisition or NHL®15, to additional membership services such as Battlefield 4 Premium or even FIFA Ultimate Team points, it’s all 10% off for members.*
Play First – Membership in EA Access lets you experience trials of new EA games up to five days before the release date.* It starts with Madden NFL 15, NHL 15, FIFA 15, NBA LIVE 15, and Dragon Age: Inquisition, but more are on the way. If you decide to buy the game, your progress will carry over so you can pick up right where you left off.

:whoo:
“We evaluated the EA Access subscription offering and decided that it does not bring the kind of value PlayStation customers have come to expect,” a Sony representative told us via email. “PlayStation Plus memberships are up more than 200% since the launch of PlayStation 4, which shows that gamers are looking for memberships that offer a multitude of services, across various devices, for one low price. We don’t think asking our fans to pay an additional $5 a month for this EA-specific program represents good value to the PlayStation gamer.”
Our Take
While EA Access might not be coming to PS4, I wouldn’t necessarily count out the publisher’s games in PS Plus. There is still value for EA there, especially as those free-with-membership games have great potential to move the needle for DLC that has long since dropped down the sales chart.

This also doesn't mean that Sony can't change its mind later. If demand is great enough and value increases, EA Access could migrate over down the road. For now though, this is a clear statement that PS4 players shouldn't hold their breath for the program.

TYRONE GA!

they should raise the price to something like 10 or 15 a month and give you access to their new titles when they drop. I think a service like that would take off quicker than offering older shyt, especially with PS Plus and Games with Gold.

I think EA wants to get in on that same money bandwagon, but they gotta do more IMO. PS Plus and GWG are added perks due to us having to have it to play online multi. EA can't be stingy if they want it to take off.

It's an extension of that shyt they did the last 2 years with the EA sports titles early access shyt Season Ticket.

This part makes it worthwhile

Additionally, EA Access will also net subscribers 10 percent discounts on all EA digital content, which includes full games and DLC, as well as access to trials of new EA games nearly a week before they come out (with saves that copy over to the final game, should you choose to purchase it later). Games that will be eligible for early access and save copy-over are Madden NFL 15, NHL 15, FIFA 15, NBA Live 15, and Dragon Age: Inquisition.

You get a full week rental of new games before they come out, and 10% discounts on all purchases. That's almost worth the $30 alone.

I was just kidding on the first post...relax.... :heh:

but seriously, this has potential. It's the season ticket thing they used to do with the EA sports titles, but expanded (I did it twice for Madden and NCAA early access when it was on the last gen consoles).

If you buy, let's say, Fifa and Madden every year ... 120$
With this you are paying...108 + 30 for 138$ of early access and discounts.

The other games EA adds will be the key to the success of this.
