Truth be told I don't know much about this, but by using stock loops what do you mean? Was he copying someone? Did he take someone else's product and make it as his own?

Genuinely serious question, because if not then what's the problem as long as it sounds good?

Using stock loops supposedly shows you lack creativity

i could kind of hear Cold, but if he did use it then he chopped it anyway because the sequence isn't the same as the Big Fish Audio, very close tho. i can see nikkas In Paris, but the thing is, when you get these packs, they do'nt just come all as one song track. they break up the tracks so you can use any given part at any time and you can fukk around with them as much as you want. so if he did take the piece from the pack then it's just like sampling anything because he didn't just straight up loop it up.

No exposal here.

Make dope beats. Period.

If that means discovering an amazing sample and looping it up or hearing the potential in a stock loop and making a dope beat out of it.

I respect anyone who can consistently come out with dope beats no matter the method. Because 95% of producers suck. Period. Just listen to soundcloud.

When it comes to hip hop, having a good ear and vision is the truth.

How many trained musicians are out there who just make boring ass beats.

And then you have an alchemist per say who hasnt played a real instrument in his life.

Just look at the list of the best hip hop producers. Its funny how a large majority of them really dont have any formal musical training.

dj premier
Rza
dr dre
just blaze
swizz beatz
kanye weat
timbaland
havoc
lex luger, polow da don for you new school cats

and im not knocking musicianship cuz i love the neptunes and scott storch.

But having a good ear and vision is what hip hop producers are made of.

Truth be told, a lot of trained musicians that ive met have told me that they wish they didnt have any training at all because it boxes them in a certain methodology
