Female Teacher Who Raped 6th Grade Boy Won’t Face Jail Time.

Former Tacoma teacher Keshia Shaw who pleaded guilty to child rape won’t serve prison time thanks to a Pierce County judge who sentenced her to sex offender treatment instead. Shaw will go free thanks to a medical condition known as polycystic ovarian syndrome, causing her to have facial hair, as well as multiple sclerosis.

“I’m worried that prolonged stay here will turn my conditions into a 200-pound 3-year-old,” Shaw said in court.

Shaw was sentenced to five years of Sexual Offender Sentence Alternative and will receive treatment outside of prison due to the jail not having the medication she needs to treat her symptoms. She will be GPS monitored on house arrest for 6 months and is unable to have contacts with minors other than her two daughters.
