"Foxy Brown has caught some flak from fans who believe that she was defending Diddy in a recent social media post.

The former Def Jam artist took to her Instagram Stories on Friday (November 24) to share a screenshot of a text conversation between herself and a man saved in her phone as “Darryl Brown.”

In his message, Darryl wrote: “you are thankful, I’m thankful I’m so glad you didn’t get caught up in that Ditty [sic] s*** when he tried to sign you, God bless you and Baby C.”

“Dead ass though, Diddy gave me Ms,” Foxy replied, implying that she made money from the Bad Boy mogul despite not being signed to him. “For ME it was the BEST OF BOTH WORLDS. [fire emojis] DEF JAM X BAD BOY COLLABO SUPER CHECKMATE.”

Comments on The Neighborhood Talk‘s Instagram post, however, swiftly trashed Foxy Brown for appearing to defend Diddy.

“Foxy, girl you literally dropped one song the whole time you were working with him. Like girl gone somewhere. And Diddy knew you were off limits as you were the property of Jay-Z,” wrote one commenter.

“She’s been groomed since way back no wonder she sees nothing wrong with the situation,” wrote a second commenter, while a third wrote: “If you was okay with sleeping your way up to the top, then we don’t wanna hear from you.”

There were, however, some people who defended the Ill Na Na rapper. “It’s ok to say ‘that wasn’t my experience’ without it being that you’re trying to discount the experiences of others. Her experience was good, that doesn’t mean she’s defending him,” wrote one commenter.

Diddy first faced sexual assault allegations from his ex-partner Cassie, who alleged in a lawsuit last week that he raped her and forced her to engage in sex acts with male escorts.

The Bad Boy Records founder denied all allegations and later settled the suit with the singer. Through his lawyer, he reiterated that settling the lawsuit was not an admission of guilt.

The second person to accuse Diddy of sexual assault was Joi dikkerson-Neal, who claims that the rapper and producer drugged and raped her in the early ’90s, while also filming the act.

Puff also denied these allegations, saying through his spokesperson: “This last-minute lawsuit is an example of how a well-intentioned law can be turned on its head. Ms. dikkerson’s 32-year-old story is made up and not credible. Mr. Combs never assaulted her and she implicates companies that did not exist. This is purely a money grab and nothing more.”

In a third lawsuit, an unnamed woman claims that Diddy and R&B singer Aaron Hall took turns raping both her and a friend at Hall’s apartment in the early ’90s following an industry event.

Denying the claims, a spokesperson for the mogul told HipHopDX: “These are fabricated claims falsely alleging misconduct from over 30 years ago and filed at the last minute. This is nothing but a money grab. Because of Mr. Combs’ fame and success, he is an easy target for anonymous accusers who lie without conscience or consequence for financial benefit.

“The New York Legislature surely did not intend or expect the Adult Survivors Act to be exploited by scammers. The public should be skeptical and not rush to accept these bogus allegations.”

This is the second time that Foxy Brown has made headlines in just as many weeks for her social media posts. Earlier this month, she made fun of former rival Lil Kim over the latter’s claim that her autobiography The Queen Bee is going to sell more copies than the Bible."
