But how would Littlefinger have found out about Bran getting pushed out of a window and acted so quickly if he was in King's Landing? :dwillhuh:

so quickly...

to be fair, it's not clear how much time has past. right after that, Cat talks about how she's been at Bran's side for "a month"

edit: then again, the Queen says they've been riding for "a month" when they first get to Winterfell

idk...

But how would Littlefinger have found out about Bran getting pushed out of a window and acted so quickly if he was in King's Landing? :dwillhuh:

When Catelyn Tully arrives in King's Landing to tell her husband about the attempt on their son Bran's life, Petyr, who learned of her arrival despite her efforts to remain unnoticed, intercepts her and stashes her away in one of his brothels. Catelyn, justifying her trust in Baelish from their time together in Riverrun, shows him the Valyrian Steel dagger used in the attempt. Petyr says that he recognizes the dagger, claiming that it was once his but that he lost it in a wager to Tyrion Lannister.[1] This lie - Petyr in truth lost the dagger to King Robert - indirectly triggered the War of the Five Kings via Catelyn's eventual arrest of Tyrion for the attack." this is from the books...sooo petyr baelish took advantage of the situation aka he's the agent of chaos...damn this guy is sly as hell...so we can tthen assume that the one who tried to kill bran was cercei and the twins..they didn;t know petyr would lie and associate the dagger to tyrion..but we know now that it was roberts and who has access to roberts weapons?? I forgot....what does Tyrion say of the knife? Does he claim it was stolen? Was he ever confronted about that bit of evidence?

This is probably the most logical answer. But with this fukking show (books) who the fukk knows!

That doesn't seem logical to me because at that point he wasn't really a major player in the Lannister house...He was the joke of the family. The drunken imp who was always between some whore's legs.

Makes more sense to me that he'd do it for the chaos....it is a ladder after all :ohhh:

... i thikn petyr wanted to start some shyt between the starks and lannisters. He took advantadge of the situation..because the dagger didn't belong to tyrion..that was a lie..it belonged to king robert..and only cersei could have had access to the dagger

I should've worded my question differently. I didnt mean to ask how Littlefinger found out so quickly. I meant to ask how could Littlefinger have known that after he received word of Bran falling out the window, he could've started some Tom Foolery between the Starks and Lannisters by sending an assassin with his blade that Tyrion supposedly owned. The only way this scenerio of Littlefinger sending the assassin himself could've worked is if he had told a bold-face lie to Cat when she had questioned him about the owner of the blade.

Oh OK, I agree....LF likely wouldn't have had time to get the knife from King's Landing to Winterfell.

Looks like a book head cleared that up, probably shoulda been put in tags, but I doubt that's a nugget the show will mention later so :yeshrug:

Tyrion just had a convo with Cersei discussing events from the first second season. as long as Tyrion, Cersei, and/or Jamie is alive, there's a chance the topic could come up

my bad, I meant events from the second season (the king's guard trying to kill Tyrion in the battle)

I just looked more into it, and the clues throughthefire just posted are from the 3rd book... :snoop: I'd rather not say anymore, other than again saying that people need to be careful posting this kind of stuff

Now watch this scene again, this is where Varys messed up, he tried to slight Littlefinger but kept quiet, look at high he looks at Tywin, like he is food, notice they ask where is Jamie and they all flinch when he gets mad at them except LF, why? because he knows where he is just like he knew that Tywin had Ayra Stark right in his hands.
