It was Joffery.

I never thought it was Cersei. It doesn't make sense that Cersei would do it. Even though she hates him to a degree, she wouldn't take it to that level....he's still her brother. Just like Tywin hates him, yet still started a war to get him back. It takes a certain kind of crazy to kill your own blood (close blood, no Jamie), only Joffery is that crazy.


I didn't accept that Cersei did it until she came to Tyrion's room that day and didn't deny it...glad they cleared that up, cuz it never made sense to me.

I disagree. For 1, Varys has no reason to lie to Tyrion. Like he told Tyrion, what's the point of lying and saying it was Cersei? To make Tyrion hate her? He already does. To make Tyrion kill her? Tyrion isn't going to kill the Queen, plus since he can't do it himself is he going to hire Bronn? Bronn would hit him with the with the quickness. Bronn wants to live to enjoy his gold, plus he's a lord now too.

2. Other than getting bytch slapped a few times Joffrey has no reason to kill Tyrion either. Now, I do believe he is vindictive enough to take it that far had anyone else been brave enough to slap him.

3. Also you have to remember Cersei's hate for him multiplied when he shipped Myrcella off to Dorne. She ain't forget that.

She never said denied or confirmed it. She jsut stayed silent and Tyrion took that as meaning Joffrey did it.

but its not like Joff didn't have a reason. Dude had been sonning him since season one slapping him around and stuff, on top of basically calling him a bytch for leaving the battle field. Not to mention that she didn't say that Joffery DIDN'T do it. Remember Cersei is prideful, even when some shyt fails she claims it if it does even a fraction of damage. Tyrion knows that...
