BAHAHAHHAHAHA someone on reddit just compiled a win and L list for everyone on season 3...lol at theon :sadcam:...defly do not agree with the baelish score...he's defly up there with tywin and olenna in terms of just out smarting everyone...danyress is curently on top with the most wins right now...
Here is the belated rankings of power for the latest episode.
Jon Snow +9 (Season Total: +19): Not only did you climb the friggin' wall, but you bonded with your sweetie.
Ygritte +9 (Season Total:+9) Ygritte finally gets some long overdue points on the board for being an awesome climber, and finally asking Jon Snow to go steady.
Olenna Redwyne +7 (Season Total: +28): Points awarded purely for calling out the incest twins to Tywin's face.
Tywin Lannister +7 (Season Total: +25): Points awarded for calling Loras out of the closet. I would say he ended up getting his way in his sparring round with Olenna, but I still have to call it a tie.
Roose Bolton +5 (Season Total: +10): Admit it, you totally thought he was going to say "hand". He fukking got you good.
Melisandre +5 (Season Total: +7): The Lady in Red has got what she needs to perform whatever fukked up ritual she has in mind.
Beric Dondarrion +3 (Season Total: 20): No telling if selling off Gendry will bite the Brothers in the ass later, but for now Beric scored some coin and some points with the Lord of Light.
Petyr Baelish +3 (Season Total: +3): While his plan to steal away with Sansa fell through, he still leaves Westeros with things in his favor.
Robb Stark +2 (Season Total: -15): With the Freys on board (tentatively) things are looking up for the King of the North (until next week to be sure).
Joffrey Baratheon +2 (Season Total:-6): Nice aim!
Samwell Tarly +1 (Season Total -5): Because fukk it, why not?
Jaime Lannister +1 (Season Total:-5): A promise to be returned to pappy is one thing, still a good sign. Let's see if he can "hand"-le the trip home. See what I did there?
Varys -2 (Season Total: 9): He may have foiled Varys plans to win Sansa, but I still can't help but feel Petyr still won this round.
Arya Stark -2 (Season Total: 4): Her only friend just got sold off for some sort of unholy blood ritual. Not looking good.
Brienne of Tarth -2 (Season Total: 4): Oh you thought you were going to Kings Landing too then? Not so much.
Tyrion Lanniseter -4 (Season Total:-4): Well, this is awkward.
Gendry -5 (Season Total: -5): You just got sold off to be a crazy murderous priest lady, but on the bright side you are still alive.
Edmure Tully -5 (Season Total: -9): Robb could have at least let him count her teeth.
Sansa Stark -6 (Season Total: -1): And there goes yet another chance to escape King's Landing. P.S. Loras is gay and you don't get to marry him anyway.
Theon Greyjoy -8 (Season Total:-27): How low can you go?

HBO will over look ratings as long as the awards and critical praise come in. They have no advertisers to answer to. And GoT's selling enough DVD's and Blu-Rays to make up for any subscribers that HBO is likely to lose due to GoT being on for too long....which is probably 0.

The Wire lasted 5 seasons with shyt ratings and great critical praise. The Sopranos got it's run until David Chase said he had enough. 6 Feet Under even got 1 more season than it should have. Curb You Enthusiasm has only OK ratings and Larry David is still allowed to come back whenever he wants...though production costs are low.

We will see all 7 books represented. Especially with the crazy ratings and critical praise it's getting. AND the buzz off the internet. Confident about that.

Not to mention the mad guap they are making off of international syndication/DVD sales, etc.

if the show got cancelled, it would suck, but at least we still have the books :manny:

Don't be so sure of that. GRRM is taking his sweet little time to finish the final 2 books. If the show doesn't get canceled I'm sure it will finish before GRRM is done writing. And him being :flabbynsick: in his 60s has peeps worried he could die before he finishes writing.

As of now he's only 25% through the sixth book. Writing it since 2011 and the previous two books had a five year gap. :aicmon:

I don't know how far the story has gone in the books, or if dude even has an 'end' or 'conclusion' in mind

:whoa: nor do I want to know :whoa:

I'm just saying that the books will probably have more of the story for us, if nothing else

:whoa: So knowing the number of books out are spoilers now?

nah. I just don't want to know 'how far', or 'where' the story has gone. or if it's heading towards a real conclusion. the number of books doesn't matter

The producers/writers of the show already know the ending. GRRM sat down with them and told them EVERYTHING about every character and story line.

The man has a plan. So this won't be like Lost. And even if he dies and doesn't write the last 2 books the show runners still know the ending.

:dahell: This show isn't getting cancelled. This show has the country reading some long ass books. Reading books, nikkas :damn: I'm not talking Hunger Games, Twilight or some shyt like that, these books are on some Lord of The Rings density, brehs. Quality of the series aside, this is a cash cow. Worst case scenario is GRRM dies or the show catches up to the books, but we've seen the anticipation a long awaited book can bring with Harry Potter so that would probably only ramp up the popularity.

Yeah I already knew all that. That's why I said if the show doesn't get canceled it will surpass GRRMs pacing.

At this point I'm sure the show will be over before GRRM is really done with the books. Extra lame if he drops before finishing and we have to settle with either a lame author (although GRRM said he didn't want another writer finishing his shyt) or for the TV conclusion :shaq2:

he also said that he DOESNT want the show to surpass him so he knows he has to speed up a little on the writing process. The way it looks he might just have about 3 years before they on par with the books

4th season - 2nd Half of A Storm Of Swords
5th season - 1st half A Feast For Crows/1st half A Dance with Dragons
6th season - 2nd Half of AFFC/ADWD

he gotta finish the next one by 2016 so when they get around to the 7th and 8th season they can base it on that book-- since he says its going to be huge

and im guessing the 9th and 10th season will be based on his final book
