HBOGo Coming to PS3 & PS4 Confirmed

HBO Go is en route to PlayStation. While there isn't a release window for the premium service's streaming app, Sony's VP of business development assures it'll be "soon" for the PS3, with the PS4 version to follow. However, we do know that as with other streaming services on the platforms (including Amazon Instant Video and Netflix), the app's functionality won't be locked behind a paywall, like it is on Sony's biggest console rival.

It's looking like all those deals that MS had in place for those "exclusive" apps is coming to an end...
-watchESPN is now available on Rokus without a paywall
-NBA League Pass has been available on PS3/4 without a paywall
-And now HBOGo is coming

But shyt... you can snap them with your voice the Xbox One so that justifies paying to use these apps...

nikka, I only care about being able to stream live TV with those ESPN apps.

I have a 360 but no Xbox Live so I couldn't even use the app when my Live expired. Now that it's on Roku, I won't ever ever ever need Xbox Live again... EVER.

And yes I'm glad that these apps are being released for other platforms, because I'd rather not have to pay for Xbox Live to use them.

What Roku has is different than what 360 has. It has some of the same stuff, but not all the backlog of content

All that shyt's on AppleTV too. There's basically no reason (for me) to have Xbox Live anymore. The App that gets the most time on my 360 is Twitch late at night, and if I have to, I can just airplay it from my iPad to my AppleTV.

My Live is about to lapse in February, and I'm 98% sure I'm not gonna re-up. And I've been a member since Day 1.
