I'm not at all interested in pitting our folks in the NFL against our folks in the NBA, but what the video didn't mention is that the NBA players have guaranteed contracts, the NFL players don't.
That's the difference.
When your money is secure you can say whatever you want, but when you can be cut from the team mid-contract you tend to choose your words more carefully.
Also the speaker didn't mention the demographics -- the NBA's largest pool of viewers are under 35 and 45% black...the NFL's largest pool of viewers are over the age of 45 and 83% white.
