My commute to work is on a train, so it’s quite often.
Though lately I’ve been trying to listen to artists that I’ve never given a proper chance to listen to.
But I can still not listen to some of my favourite albums in many months but once I get around to it, it still hits like the 1st time listening to it
If it wasn’t for work commute I’m not sure where I would find time to listen to music regularly. It would probably be when I go for a run or some shyt.

I’ll often listen to an old album all the way through with my daughter and explain the whole story of the artist and album to her or throw something on for nostalgia sake but for the most part I’m always trying to discover music that’s new to me.
There’s so many incredible funk, jazz, electronic, dance and other types of albums to delve into to constantly expand the playlist.
I know people hate “the sites” but I’ve found so much great music on AOTY and RYM over the years just exploring random sub sub sub genres I can’t even imagine just listening to the same albums over and over.

Similar to this I have a habit of listening to music whenever I get reminded by either appreciation or anniversary threads
Im itching to spin RD but Im waiting to see if theres a new rerelease next month. Will do the same with Blueprint in the fall, 25 years since 9/11 THATS CRAZY
Last month Illmatic 10 years edition got its attention, some of those tracks on disc 2 are dope as hell
Rarely skip anything because i love these albums to the extent i can put up with their imperfections...
Would say that the album i go back the most is Common's Be, its a short listen as well but also more appropiate lyrics for getting older, Doggystyle is etched in stone buuuuut some of the lyrics are too much for my Larry Holmeself

I watch a lot of youtube reaction channels of young brehs discovering classic music, and I always run those albums cuz the reactions stir up so many memories.

Most days. Today listened to Metallica black album on the way to work. And MOP firing squad on the way back. I work in pensions
