if NY Post's allegations are true, this shyt is precisely why smart people can't take a lot of underground rappers seriously. Y'all 'real hip hop' nikkas stay talking about 'keeping it real' while supporting frauds, sometimes heinous frauds like Bambaataa. Add this to the fact that 99% of these underground acts make shytty music, and the 'we real hip hop' arrogance becomes :mjlol:

Why would Ka hide that he's a firefighter if he supposedly makes real ass music about himself and his life? You see dude in videos looking bummy and downtrodden, but he's stacking. I don't have a problem with you repping the downtrodden especially if you came from that, but I have a problem with the lack of transparency.

You weirdos will stay up all night and day making thread after thread about 6 Krishna without realizing that
a) all the shyt you accuse Drizzy of can easily be applied to some of your favorite rappers.
b) putting a rapper's image before his/her music is for suckas and dummies. You are no different from Beyhive listeners or whoever you hate on.

Never liked Ka anyway. Dude can write, and has a better pen game than most in this weak ass generation, but his beats and voice leave much to be desired. shyt is too low-energy for me. That audio book shyt can :camby:

Get in your feelings if you must

This is just sad at this point :mjlol:

Have a pity post on me, just because it's Sunday morning

"I pray the fakes get exposed."

"nikkaz want my spot and don't deserve it"

I know you're hurting
a rapper you like has been exposed as a fraud
you yourself act fraudulent when you hate on Ludacris, when it turns out his approach to rap is similar to MF DOOM, who you love
Try to stay on thread topic if you can
but you won't. you're affected :laff:

I ain't click that link but I been knowing KA was a firefighter if that's what all the fuss is about.

And I'm not even that into dude like that, he's kind of boring in comparison to Roc, I only fukk with him on the strength of that connection.

What does him not making firefighter raps have to do with that fraud?

Based off the act that he held down a legit day job and clearly speaks about past experiences a lot I fail to see where your righteous indignation comes from..Dude never hid the fact that he worked for the NYFD and i cant recall a verse where he spits about running up in burning houses to recover Ki's left there by his Mexican plug Jose. You reachin man...

let's not split hairs here, breh.

It's about the image Ka portrays. Bottom line is that he's not rapping about his present life/situation. His whole angle is "monk-like, seen-it-all OG", which probably never happened to dude. Then you find out he and his wife are making good money, owning property. Isn't that pimping the lives/stories/misery of the hood? Isn't that "you witnessed it from your folks' pad, scribbled it in your notepad and created your life" type shyt?

We diss Nas for that type of shyt (and rightfully so in certain instances) but at least Nas is
a) brilliant
b) he was one of the first rappers to take that approach

Fastforward ten to twenty years later, Ka is wearing the same stale suit and talking about the same ol crime-in-the-hood shyt to line his pockets. And let's not pretend like he makes it obvious he works for the law. Y'all can miss me with that.

Besides, my point is really aimed at arrogant underground heads who swear anything semi-popular is fraudulent and image-driven while being fraudulent and image-driven themselves. Just on a much smaller and crappier level.

What else do you have that points to him not having these experiences growing up besides the fact that he has a good paying job now, at 44 years of age?

The fire department is the law?

And again, to make things clear I don't fukk with KA like that..he can spit but he only gets burn from me because of Marci...I don't keep tabs on this nikka like that and I knew he was a fire fighter. I couldn't tell you if I got it from an interveiw or what because I really don't give a fukk but I would think not making it obvious would be more for protection of his day job than the fans.

Not a big deal.

I understand the Rick Ross thing, you can't be a CO and a gangsta rapper.....but a firefighter? Who cares. I'll throw this out there, why is it when it comes to old school rappers like KRS One everything they say isn't about them directly but a story or a way to send a message. Why doesn't this apply to KA as well?

And before someone mentions KRS One is a much better rapper, no shyt. That isn't the point. The point being made is how someone chooses to see it.

and the spin begins :mjlol:

actually Ka and his few fans looking funny in the light :ehh:

How is it spin. He has a job and never hid it. Stunning! I remember having a convo here or somewhere else about this back when Grief Pedigree came out. Just talking about the interesting dynamic of rappers who have real jobs. This was around the time that Bronson and his crew were bubbling up, talking about being a chef. AG The Coroner was talking about how he was a real coroner. Ka being a firefighter. I thought that shyt was fascinating.
