The only reason I brought it up is after hearing about crazy concept to do it to much smaller icebergs.

i'll play along.
let's say you get an iceberg to a drought area.
it would be a one shot thing right?
once the water is used it's done unless there is a water purification plant.
if you use the water to make a lake or reservoir then it will eventually evaporate since lack of rain is why there is a drought to begin with.
i see too many problems with this.
