Why meet with the owner and someone who's isn't even employed by the Lakers anymore?

Why not allow Bron in the pitch meeting?

Why not Pelinka who he'd be working with almost EVERYDAY for the next few years?!

It'd be like him only requesting Larry Tanenbaum(Raptors majority owner) and Vince Carter to be Toronto's pitch meeting and NOT Masai Ujiri.

I understand the circumstances of the teams they joined being different but the end result is the same. They're stacking the deck and weakening their competition in the process. For the record, I had zero problems with Bron going to Miami or KD going to Golden State.

The end result is the same as in creating the best team possible. Its not made the same way. He's not joining one of the greatest teams of all time. Trying to equate the shyt silly. Ya'll look like mega clowns.

Because Bron has been in communication with him for awhile now. And Rob is going to be in communication one way or another. What else is there to talk about? AD is no different. This meeting is probably to iron out particulars and the Raps meeting is to thank them for what they’d done and to let them know he a Laker.

Because maybe those particulars are more relevant to the owner than POBO. Remember Uncle Dennis is also involved, so this might be the business side in terms of off court deals.
