I've been saying for a while now, especially since watchign old matches on the Network, that old heel tactics needs to come back. Using tights for roll-ups, using the ropes for leverage in submissions, then letting go when the refs looking. Etc

This is why Cesaro & Lesnar don't get booed nearly as much as they could. People are utterly impressed with Cesaro cause he does nothing but go out there and whoop ass. Lesnar can get booed now cause he has the streak to brag about, but before now there was no reason to boo him. Heyman is the only true reason either of them can get booed now.

And I've been sayin' this for a while too... heels ain't supposed to be "cool" and fan-friendly. As much as I found JBL's long ass title reign boring, I did like that he made no attempts to be anything but a heel. He antagonized everybody the whole way and made people wanna boo him for the shyt he said and how he'd always cheat his way to a win.

The last great heel was JBL, I think. He never did anything to make himself look strong in the eyes of the fans and always scraped a win by cheating or the skin of his teeth.

It's 2014, the "heels always cheat" shyt is hillbilly wrestling. If JR was in charge every heel would grab the tights to pin someone and cut "these people don't get it in (insert city), because they're idiots!" type promos.

Brock Lesnar shouldn't have to cheat or be a coward. Look how over any heel got in any combat sport without cheating. A good heel can be a dominant a$$hole. Batista kicking DBry's ass and calling him too small to be a top guy or in the business would get a lot of heat.

People like cena get booed because he doesn't represent the average person, he is like the giddy two shoes company guy type and people don't like that.. The problem with Cesaro is he shouldn't be a heel, he was no character or personality right now and his moveset is awesome, he's a natural face.

Brock is over as a heel, he was clearly the heel against Punk, got mostly booed against H, clearly the heel against taker, and will be the overwhelming heel against Bryan.

But with Lesnar beating up on DB, he would have that "bully" aura, which JR also mentioned.

It would be more than just going out there and beating people in hard-fought victories.

Exactly!! It's a new era those things don't piss people off like they used to, grabbing tights or using the ropes for leverage isn't cheating it's smart .. People hate their boss nowadays they hate people that have unfair advantages, they hate a$$holes.. I think the baby faces need to do better to be honest, a lot of them are just unlikable or uninteresting. As much as cena is the top draw now he ain't hogan, Austin or the rock. Those characters were people you wanted to be cool successful and charismatic..
