He's been a Jay stan, everyone knows that. He's said it numerous times in interviews, even thought Takeover was the better record when they asked him and Jada about that in Vibe like last year.
He's also said he likes other rappers like Cube, Pac, Nas and 50 etc etc

When it comes to the job, of being a rapper, Jigga is the G.O.A.T.
Artistically, Jigga's got the skills, but, not the discography to support that.
Even his best albums (RD, BP) are just real good renditions of the sound at the time.
AG was the only time where he stepped out and did his own sound (at the time), but, even that was just based on a old album and/or a movie.
Jay's the most talented rapper, I've listened to, but, I can no longer (as I've learned more about other rappers) say dude is the be all, is all--Nah.
Jay has hits, but, not groundbreaking music.

It's absolutely true though. It's kinda like how most basketball players aim at being MJ. He may not be your favorite player and you could even argue someone else was better in your opinion, but at the end of the day you want his success and to be considered on his stature. any MC saying Jay is their favorite rapper of all time, i cant take them seriously. Luckily i havent heard any Kenrick sh1t outside of 'swimming pools' ...... your a rapper/MC and your favorite is the person who willingly diluted his sh1t to double his dollars as well as those generic records he makes.
