Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
All I know is Kristaps has a lot to prove next season. He better be Anthony Davis or Towns.

Cause he's a unicorn now. But many bigs can shoot 3s in the league and all these new incoming F/C rookies and high schoolers are raised watching KD and they're all learning to dribble.

I don't see any players coming in the league with kyrie type skill set anytime soon though.

People seem to forget Kyrie won Cavs their title
last year

That is what separates him from a lot of these big men that just shoot threes, being able to guard the rim in addition to stretching the floor is a huge commodity and a skillset that very few bigs have.

The Knicks should be grooming him as a center now, his first two years were at PF because his body wasn't ready for the 5, but now that he looks to be getting stronger having him at the 5 and pairing him with a multi-dimensional PF should be their goal.

I mean I get it, Kristaps has a good potential to be an amazing two way player. But why not replace his scoring with a player like kyrie and find a defensive specialist down the line in a trade or free agency or even draft.

I just dont think Kristaps is untouchable like players like Giannis, Towns or Embiid. Those are franchise changing players. Kristaps hasnt proven himself to be that yet, although he's exceeded expectations and can develop into that. but that will take some time.

And based off how Carmelo looks this summer, Kristaps still wouldn't even be the best player on the Knicks going into 2017-18 season.:banderas:

You don't trade 7 footers that can get you buckets, stretch the floor and provide elite rim protection saying you can replace him with a defensive specialist down the line.

Kyrie hasn't either.

If the Knicks play their cards right, they can sign Kyrie outright in a couple years. They just drafted a 19 year old with a lottery pick, don't think they're worried about taking 2-3 years to continue to develop.

If anything I learned about the NBA, its about winning now, if not now then setting yourself up for the next year. Especially big franchises like New York. Fans have no patience.

Also these days you need a stacked team full of talent at every position and players that can play multiple positions.

Kyrie is really an undersized 2 guard who plays the one and is a defensive liability pretty much. Frank is a BIG point guard who can play the 2 (maybe 3 if he gets bigger). and his best quality is probably his defense. Im sure they would make a nice fit.

Its not saying get rid of Kristaps for nothing, but replacing him with two players who have elite level specialty skill. Kyrie is an elite scorer. Then they'll need to find an elite defender who hopefully can stretch the floor. In todays NBA so many bigs can stretch the floor.

And Kyrie has proven himself when it matters most, in the NBA finals.

Kristaps hasnt even experienced the postseason yet.

You're not winning now with Melo and Kyrie though

Like Porzingis?

How many big men are there that are elite defenders, can stretch the floor and their teams are willing to give them up without taking back a major haul?

Even if you could play Porzingis at the 5, that would leave the Cavs with a massive hole at PG. And TT getting $20 million a year to sit on the bench.

Unless...how do teams defend this?

PG: Lebron
SG: JR/Shump
SF: Porzingis
PF: Love
Center: TT

:ohhh:

That would be like taking that weird positionless Nets team to the next level. :ehh:

And with D-Rose and Porzingis there, you might actually have enough offense to let Lebron sit on the bench instead of running the 2nd unit.
Golden State would literally run that lineup out of the building. So would a lot of teams actually. That defense would not work out.

On second thought, Kristaps ain't going nowhere. LeBron coming to the Knicks to join "Hoodie Melo" and "Kristaps Bird" to form a new Big 3. I can see JR returning to the knicks as well. :manny:

Add another much needed piece, and if Frank Nitty is looking good as well, then Knicks 2019 champs :banderas:
