There have been complaints about the quality of Hip Hop discussions in The Booth for awhile so we have decided to rename Left Field and include more genres. The Lounge will be geared towards golden age & underground Hip Hop, R&B as well as the regular genres discussed in the old Left Field subforum such as Rock, Electronic and Indie. Any genre of music is welcome, even mainstream rap as long as its strictly about the music. Left Field has traditionally been a serious forum where people put each other onto music and discuss music seriously. We would like this to continue therefore there will be a zero tolerance policy towards trolling. The forum is geared towards music enthusiasts. Drama, beef and gossip will not be allowed.

If you have an existing thread you would like moved to the new forum or if you have any suggestions please let us know. You can mention @TEKBEATZ or @That Singer Guy... guy if you need a thread moved. Also, @porque has been added as a moderator of The Lounge. As a Left Field regular he'll be helping to make sure non hip hop music gets its fair shine.

because honestly there wasnt enough activity in left field to justify that happening. there were threads on the first page from weeks ago and most of the threads besides a few had less than 10 replies. we're hoping that @porque will sticky new music that isnt hip hop and that the extra visitors that are coming for hip hop will end up checking out some of the left field type music and getting those threads some extra activity.

i upped some of the popular left field threads. i would suggest maybe making more genre specific threads similar to the dubstep thread and others. that would help to be able to follow the types of music you guys like :yeshrug:

that freestyle music thread in TLR was good too

I wonder if there's much interest in that
