Then he calls Mike Krzyzewski "the greatest coach in college basketball" and "Mike Tomlin doesn't even pop into my head when speaking of good coaches", then asks "what's the difference in criticism?", as if he didn't just answer his own question, but with conservatives being falsely equivalent helps them think they they were at least fair. Now if you're following, then you recognize comparing college basketball coaches to NFL coaches makes no fukking sense to begin with.

Then he begins claiming that Terry Bradshaw was completely justified in saying that Mike Tomlin, the coach who led the Steelers to two superbowls in 3 years, as a 30 year old, is merely a cheer leader. To top it off now switched the pro-noun to "bloggers" instead of "liberal media" and then back to "beat reporters".Then dubs himself by throwing Tom Coughlin's name in the mix as "better than Tomlin", fast forward to a week later who's team is absent from the playoff picture?

 

So many false equivalencies and strawmen in cowherd's argument, I don't know where to start.

 

It's like he's burning up inside. He sets himself up as a fact based guy, but he neglects to mention the Ravens and Bengals (2013-2015)

Another thing, because I didn't want my first post to get too long is that he presents you with another fallacy, the false dilemma. Making it seem like the only options are call Mike Tomlin the greatest coach in NFL history or just call him a cheerleader and there's no logical middle ground.

There's clearly a racial overtone. Why would he need to call out the "Liberal Media" when there's no political narrative to be had in this argument...Either you think he's an overrated coach, or you don't. What does the "Liberal Media" have to do with any of this?

I've hated him since he was a worthless local sportscaster in Portland in the 1990s.

The Trailblazers were down 2-1 to the Lakers in 2000, he said, "They have to win 3 of the next 4...no shot", and he was a PORTLAND broadcaster.
