I doubt it. You must have a really old phone. You probably have apps that are loaded with ADS.
If you are on Android, look up F-Droid. It is a play store that have apps that are open sourced and contain no ads. They are legit. Top of that, head over to Moblism for your modded apps that are premium and ad-free.
