Mob attacks white man in Detroit and steals his possessions. Might be charged as a hate crime.

Do you think he really cares? He's just as angry as all of the other middle aged white men. And some video footage doesn't show what someone is thinking. I'm not going to give someone a pass for running over a child like you're doing.
How do you know what's he thinking? You just said video tape can't show what's someone in thinking. So how do you know he's an angry? Does being white and old make you an angry white man?

But again, you gotta understand Detroit. An angry white man ain't coming to the hood. Angry white people stay in burbs. White people don't have to come to city unless it's job related. And most of them will work downtown and hit the free way. The only time white people really come to the city is for sporting events. Nothing indicates he's an angry white man. You're not going to get out your car in that neighborhood if you're that type of person. Again, you gotta understand Detroit. It's not like other cities. Trust me.

just like the parent was responsible for being alert and making sure not to let their child run into the street

So the driver has no responsibility at all? If he was more alert and paying attention, he would have seen him run in the street and would have stopped. But since he's an irresponsible driver, he ended up running over a defenseless child.

:what:

The parents of the child are responsible for keeping their kid out the street. If the guy was speeding, texting or on his cell phone def he plays a big part in being responsible for hitting the kid if not totally guilty.. Accidents happen and in this clusterfukk of a situation the parents are most at fault especially for not teaching their kid to fukk around in the street.

:beli: I'm really getting tired of this circular argument.

The main point from this story is how the media is using this unfortunate situation to make this into some example of "reverse racism" and label this a "hate crime" when it would be extremely difficult to prove.

Really this argument over whether the driver was reckless or not really shouldn't be the main topic.
