Given how well the film did I'm shocked how few posts we have on it. It's fine movie even though the ending was a bit obvious.

I think there was another thread for it.

I really enjoyed the movie and don't understand the bad reviews from critics. I get there was a movie in the 70's, but this one was equally as good, if not better, than that one in my opinion :ld:

I searched for "express" in the Film Room and this was the only thread :yeshrug:

I think you'll be hard pressed to find many people who would say this one tops the Lumet version. Got 6 Oscar noms and made by one of the best directors of all time.

I think you'll be hard pressed to find many people who would say this one tops the Lumet version. Got 6 Oscar noms and made by one of the best directors of all time.

I remember watching the older movie back in school when we read the book, but I haven't seen it since then. I remember reading Agatha Christie wasn't a huge fan of how they portrayed Hercule in the movie either. The new version seems to be more true to the book to me :manny:
