Hello everyone a lot of people have asked what exactly is going with our sweet baby boy. I wanted to give everyone an update on what we know and a little on what we don't. Beckham was born on March 17th, via csection because he had continual dips in his heart rate at one point his heart sounded like it was stopping. Becks was born, and immediately we discovered that his ears were deformed, one side looks like a mini ear with no openings and the other side looks like someone bunched his ear together in a ball, this ear has a small pin point hole. Up to this point we know that he is registering some sort of sound in his brain but we don't know what or if his inner ear is formed. Yesterday they confirmed that this is called Microtia and that there is a great possibility that he is deaf on some level in one or both of his ears. Please see link below for more information. Now because of his ears they ordered a kidney ultrasound because these two things develop at the same time, thank god his kidneys are fine. Now our amazing doctor decided that we should also do an echo to check his heart just to be safe. My baby was gone from the room for 5 hrs and I immediately knew something was wrong. Becks was taken to the Niccu in Louisiana. Beckham has two things wrong with his heart and forgive me I have no idea if there is an actual name for his condition I just know what's wrong. Becks aorta that brings blood to his body is very very narrow, and his VSD wall has a hole in it. Now while he was in my belly the way blood flows he didn't need these two things because blood flows through what's called a PDA tube, this PDA is a "temporary" tube and disappears after baby is born because it's not needed. This is bad for our becks. So what they are doing is giving him medication that keeps that tube open so right now his blood is flowing through his body as if he was inside me. This needs open heart surgery to repair these two things. If Dr. McKinney had not ordered this test we would have taken our sweet baby home and his tube would have closed and we have lost our sweet boy. So Beckham was flown to Texas children's hospital which is where I am now. Right now Beckham is in stable condition and his surgery will be planned and scheduled on Monday to give his body time to rest and receive his medications. These anomalies were not detected in the 6 ultrasounds I received while pregnant and it's nothing I did wrong. This is very very hard on me and Kendall because our other three babies are in Louisiana without us (being well taken care of) but keep them in your prayers as we just moved there from Japan and they have been through enough and a lot already. Kendall and I are staying here in Texas with becks and Kendall just left to drive back to Louisiana because he has a job interview. Since he just got out
Of the military last week he is not working yet and neither am I. Nor have we found a house in Louisiana. This is all very stressful. Trying to do all this secure work, take care of your sick baby and take care of your three babies in another state etc. Kendall's cousin Torry started a go fund me for Beckham and ourselves because as you can imagine gas, travel, food, etc during this time is going to add up quick. Beckham will most likely be here at least a month. So if you want to give great if not your prayers have been so much appreciated you will never now the comfort it brings to this mamas heart, becks is receiving prayers from Europe across the United States to Japan . We love you and I will keep everyone updated as we can or hear information.

My name is Torry. I started this campaign to help Sweet Baby Beckham and his Parents. Beckham's Parents recently moved back home from Japan where his Father was stationed in the military. They are currently living with family until they can secure a job and find a place of their own.
Beckham Carter, son of Kendall and Mallory Carter, was born March 17, 2015 in Lake Charles, La. At 1 day old, Beckham was flown to Texas Children's Hospital, where he will be having Open Heart Surgery soon to repair abnormalities that were found all thanks to tests that were ordered by Dr. Gisele McKinney. Had Dr. McKinney not ordered those tests, Baby Beckham may have simply been discharged from the hospital with his mommy, and may have had to fight harder for his little life. Even worse, we may have lost him. Right now, Beckham is in stable condition in the NICU where they are taking very good care and keeping a very close eye on him. Beckham's parents have 3 other children that they have to be away from at this time. We are all praying for our entire family. We BELIEVE God will Heal Beckham, and he and his Parents will be able to return home as soon as possible. Those other 3 babies miss them very much!
This campaign was started to help his parents with any expenses they may face while traveling to and from Houston to Lake Charles all while caring for their family. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. They asked me to enter a GOAL amount and I really couldn't come up with a number. I just entered something. We really don't have a goal. We are just asking that you give whatever amount God places in your heart. We thank you in advance for all donations.
