this character didn't appear in the next games until mario tennis where she reappears as this

i remember seeing this as a kid and being like "hm, ok" because i played super mario land and i knew daisy was from a desert kingdom and all of that. good for nintendo to add some middle eastern representation

then in the next game she appears like this
