i meant more in terms of "cold" applying. ideally you should be reached out to and told to apply for a job so you KNOW someone's looking for your application. that said i've cold-applied online and got an interview but i know it's because my linkedin was tight as i saw the recruiter went to my page before contacting me to set up the interview. my resume was also tight and optimized for keywords. the job i have now i was told to apply to after connecting with some in management at the company. What type of professional position can you apply to in person?
i admire the trollskills, but don't troll here breh. dudes are strugglin outcheaCraig's list is the best

sorry but i have to disagree with the first point. the company that i interviewed with was an F100 and it wasn't a BS sales job. the hiring manager had a PHD. if a company is growing they do want applicants. the problem is that not a ton of companies, even Fortune 500 companies, are having robust top line, revenue growth. most are cost cutting to hit earnings. i wholeheartedly agree with the privilege point, but there are definitely opportunities out there at least for young minorities to get some face time. if the skills are there, the opportunity is never too far out of reach.youre right but the reality is usually in those circumstances its worthless sales jobs that contact you from a resume posted. No in-demand job is out there trying to scour for prospects when theyve received hundreds of more than qualified applicants, within the hour.
Ideally the best situation is to have a plug from within that can get your resume pulled, but that is far easier said than done. If you do not come from privilege chances are you do not have a corporate/professional network.
For many cold applying is the only option![]()
