Man these cacs something else :scust:

http://thesource.com/2014/11/12/rea...-in-their-attempt-to-make-him-commit-suicide/

Martin Luther King Jr.
was probably the most powerful and prominent Civil Rights leader of the mid-20th century, and he drew negative attention from several powerful people in the government, including and especially J. Edgar Hoover, the director of the FBI during the year in question: 1964. It would be another 4 years until Dr. King would be assassinated, but that isn’t for lack of effort from the U.S. government. The following is a letter that J. Edgar Hoover wrote to Dr. King trying to convince him that suicide was King’ “only way out” of King’s at-odds relationship with the FBI and other powerful leaders. Thought Hoover never said the word suicide, it’s clear it’s what he was referring to after he lamented King about his “low grade, abnormal behavior” towards the end of the letter.

The New York Magazine recently published the uncensored letter, which the Senate would confirm was the work of Hoover, the former FBI director.

Dude was getting it in. Not mad at him though. But Coretta knew about everything he was doing and was cool with it.
She did her thing too and they even did it together sometimes.
Like MLK & Coretta used to swing with Harry Belafonte and Julie Robinson

We all know Dr king was a player which is common place for a man in power.:heh:

J edgar hoover is the man who was responsible for the letter, and while he was trying to grandstand on his high horse about morality, he was never married, had no kids, and was diddling in other mens booty's all of his life. White folks have the innate ability to lecture someone with a straight face about themselves while at the same time they got 3 or 4 houses full of skeletons. They got impeccable nerve.

Yea he was obviously projecting. However I heard an interesting discussion, discussing whether the mlk getting killed actually helped a lot of blacks wake up that weren't

Well IMO it opened the door for an open minded view of black militancy (real militancy, not the coli just talking about race kind). You saw in the late 60s and early 70s that black folks was willing to riot and tear up some shyt. I watched a excellent documentary on Netflix called "black power mix tape" about this era. The sentiment seemed to be that the sit-ins, marches, and singing were of the older generation, MLK did the non violent thing and still got murdered. I noticed that alot of the black leaders were rightfully angry. The govt. couldnt not deal with black rage then or now. They gave them an option: go into exile (stokely carmichael, Eldridge Cleaver), become an CIA operative or we will send your black ass to jail (Gerinomo Pratt,Huey, Angela Davis, Assatta countless more), or we will kill you (Fred Hampton, Bobby Hutton, countless others) Those that were left over had heroin and later crack dumped on them by the CIA in the 70s and 80s. 2 generations without fathers, basically genocide.

Please dont get me started on this.

The person who typed this letter had the nerve to say that MLK was more fraudulent than every white leader in 1964.. :comeon:

At this point in time most people who respect Martin as a former black leader already know about the sex tapes the FBI had sealed..

In 2027 when they are released... I believe he will still deserve respect in the black community because he was a mortal man

Not some divine being that could do no wrong

King was like the majority of preachers of all races who preach the word but sleeping around on his wife. A hypocritical churchman is not a shock.
