Of course he was. Guys like Hakushi, TAJIRI, TAKA Michinoku, and Kenzo Suzuki didn't have stellar careers in WWE, but their profiles were raised immensely when they returned to Japan. He wasn't going to be any different despite what kind of status he had in the States.

How are you gonna say he wasn't gonna get a push when the dude screwed over AJ Styles' IWGP Heavyweight Title defense in his return back?
