Ikr...he kinda was eye candy. But the semi sexy pics with his so called daughter didn't sit right with me. It was getting to be too much.

But the LSA police pretty much bust down his whole game. He uses photo shop to slim his waste and chisel his cheeks out i think he got lip fillers.

His fake wife sells weight loss kits on IG too smh.
This era of social media is a breeding ground for nuts like Benny Harlem
can i ask you something? and @Nicole0416 feel free to chime in

But you said you saw him getting exposed on LSA... he's got half a million followers... i KNOW my sisters know hair, men and scams.....

How in the holy fukk did any women EVER think this guy had real hair?? or his daughter? i din't know this guy, never seen him before i opened this thread... took me all of one glance to determine his hair was fake, he was fake and his daughter fake too. when you go in those threads or talk to your girls or whatever.... what in the hell reasoning do they give to fall for this shyt?

it's truly mind boggling.. at least with that flat tummy shyt, they fake you out with actual people who are skinny... they don't put fat people in the ad and fake a skinny look... i keep going on but really... i can't wrap my head around 500k people seeing this and thinking "oh wow that's real and i also want it myself"

I'd say it was something I learned in school on this, but I can't remember what that theory was called. This wiki article is the closest to it. I'd say the first and last are the best theories. Audience theory - Wikipedia

Ultimately he looked "cool" enough that people don't want to believe its fake. Either that or they didn't care. Also add that he had gotten a lot of social capital through somewhat "reputable" media sites (Huffingtonpost, inquisitr, insider). Many of his followers probably learned of him through those sites. Therefore they legitimized him. The icing on the cake is him getting in Guinness Book of world records.

Ultimately though he probably didn't even have to finesse anyway. He probably could have gained the same fanfare by just telling people the truth. Instead of selling fake "natural" products he could have just sold people wigs, extensions, and real (rebranded) hair care products. Would have made the same money.

He was able to fool so many because he knew how to feed off their insecurities. Think about it...he concocted a whole story, saying how he left his wife as a single mom to sell drugs, then came back into their lives as a super hero. You know BW gonna love that because it plays into a lot of issues we as a people tend to deal with- single parenting, selling drugs, etc. He gave BW hope.

That long fake hair was the cherry on top. He gave them hope that they too could have thick long Marley hair just like him.

He took pics in a jail house orange suit, had baby girl holding big ass slave chains, and also took pics with welts on his back as if he were an actual slave that had been beaten. All of that is pure psychological bull shyt to evoke emotions from his followers. Very manipulative. And he knows women tend to be emotional...which is why i believe he added that little girl as a prop- to evoke more emotion from them. Men tend not to be as emotional as women so IMO that's why it was easy for him to fool folks. No men ever complained about not getting their veggie hair kit orders, only women. Smh.

And he waited till he had a lot of followers before he started with the bull shyt hair care products. He would do IG live and interact with his sheeple, ask their opinions on hair care products, etc. It was all game.

I been knew that ish was fake.

I'm natural and my hair is pretty long (bra-strap length) when straightened -- but it took YEARS to get to that length and retain it being natural with 4a/b hair.

I straighten my hair every couple months and when I do -- it's hell.

The way they go back and forth rocking a blow-out one day to straight FULL, long, thick, healthy + evenly distributed hair -- already had me side-eying the whole little family.
If you're a grown man and know about all them hair texture lingos n sh1t then you just might be a homo

i feel sorry for that little girl. Her mother is allowing her to be exploited and encouraging her to lie along with him. Cuz that baby is wearing fake hair too. Lying talking about thats my daddy.

And for them to be lying about medical emergencies (viper bites in Ethiopia, miscarriages) is just too much.

Before he became a natural hair guru he was trying to be an R&B singer. Even recorded a song with TPain. When that failed he reinvented himself...and here we are today smh.
