I got the Sony golds for the ps4 and I love them. Completely wireless, has a microphone, virtual surround sound and they knock, all for $100. (I was able to scoop them at target for $50 a few months ago). I was about to do a little google-ing here and there but I figured since the coli put me on the golds the coli might be able to put me on to some good $100 or less wireless Xbox 1 head phones. What say you?

I'm not seeing any completely wireless headphones anywhere for the Xbox one. Everything is "wireless to the console". :what: So wait a minute, is there really no way to turn on Netflix on the Xbox one, turn off the controller and watch an episode with wireless headphones on?

So the Xbox1 doesn't have a convenient and comfortable wireless headset like the Golds?

Got these for 30 dollars and it works. Not about to spend 100 on headphones.:francis:

don't know about that price tho

This is the ONLY headset I've seen that meets my requirements so far...all except that ridiculous $300 price tag. :camby: I'm not even trying to knock the XB1. Im genuinely shocked they don't have an option that fits what I've had on my PS4 since day one. I guess I'll have to rock a wired set for when I'm gaming, and shut it off and use the ps4 for any Netflix / streaming stuff. Still crazy whack that even when gaming I pretty much HAVE to have a headset plugged into the controller if I want to use one. And what the heck is up with having to buy a separate $25 adapter for the controller just to use a headset!?:camby:

That's lame. Don't think I've played without a wireless headset since I got the pulse elites last gen.
I was talkin to my boy who's a HUGE Xbox fan. I asked him what headset he was using and he showed me the XBox1 brand head set. Its stereo, and has to be wired to the controller at all times. I showed him the sony golds and explained that they are completely wireless, you can have up to 2 of them paired at a time to the system, has chat, and audio volume, virtual surround sound, is recharged with the same cable as the controller, and is only $100 retail. He looked at me with the :stopitslime::childplease: and said "Yeah right you just hatin on Xbox. There's no way that headset can do all that, and even more not for $100. You HAVE to have wires at least."
After doing a bit of research online, I found out you can just buy the adapter by itself for $25 and use any headset. (Which you can do already with the PS4 controller without an adapter) I also saw that people have been using Sony golds with the Xbox1 via adapter and they say it works really well, only thing is that supposedly ANY headset plugged into the Xbox 1 controller will only be able to do audio in stereo. The only way around this would be to buy those $300 turtle beaches that have a base station that plugs into the console via optical cable.

Long story short, I guess I'll live with wires when on the Xbox1, as disappointing as it is.
