Someone explain to me how Game 1 was the Cavs giving their "best shot"?

I keep hearing this.

"Wow Cavs played as good as they could possibly play and still lost."

shyt like this makes me quickly weed out who on The Coli actually watches the NBA and who's just looking for daps and reps.

Let's start with defense. People act like the Cavs playing great defense on GSW last night was an anomaly. This is false. They've been the best defensive team all POs with or without Irving and people are holding onto regular season stigmas. Give them their due. Regardless of how this Series plays out, the Warriors will have to grind every game.

As for offense...NEVER has LeBron having to go for 40+ and Kyrie 20+ been the formula for Cav success. If you really watched the Cavs, you'd know they're most dangerous when the ball is swinging and everyone gets hot. And when your bench only gives you 9 points, all from one guy (JR Smith), who btw looked AWFUL compared to how he's been typically, I really have no idea how any of you morons can call it their "best shot." Bron was definitely iso-ing a lot and they'll have to adjust Game 2 to get other guys going early because once they were finally touching the ball they had no idea wtf to do with it.

All you guys see is Bron scoring a lot and losing and your anti-Bron obsession makes y'all reactionary as hell. That Cavalier Gameplan was nowhere near close to their "best shot." I see a Warrior team that largely got outclassed and outplayed despite the Cavs playing legit dumb as shyt until OT when they lost gas and depth took over.

And they're saying right now Kyrie has no structural damage but we'll see.

Initial reports say Kyrie has no structural damage. Fuk boi has aggravated his knee and limped off like he tore an ACL in like 3 different Postseason Games now. Really can't make anything of it till Sunday.

Even without him I just don't see the Cavs getting swept.

It has nothing to do with the physicality of the defense because there aren't contact injuries. His knee is giving out because he's playing too many minutes. If he ends up being good, which I think will be the case based on what I see right now, both Blatt and Bron have to trust the other guys to step up and curb Kyrie's PT a little. Having him out there 40+ mins in his first game back was suicide, Delly played like shyt but you can't expect guys to find their confidence when you play them so little.

The Cavs averaged like 2 chances at the basket everytime down the floor. Bron played like a monster and dropped 44. Kyrie was cooking and Mozgod played like a damn beast. Tyrus was rebounding his ass off.

On the Warriors. Klay,Green and Bogut were horrible and shot a combined 11-32...not to mention Curry can play better.

i am saying your forcing him to do moves he should be restricted to do...

heck.. i once had knee tendinitis...when you bend the knee with your weight on it.. it often gives out..

i dont mean the pain makes you give out.. i mean its like the knee disapear and thent he pain hits.

Let's ignore 9 bench points all from JR Smith. 0 from Delly. 0 from Jones.
Let's ignore that Tristan Thompson, as colossal as he was on the boards, played 47 minutes and posted up a massive 2 points.
Let's ignore that Shumpert and JR, 2 wings who've been key for the Cavs played some of the worst ball I've seen them play all postseason yesterday.
Let's ignore that Delly never looked to score and was playing scared af out there even though he's a great defender.

If you actually watch games you'd know GSW's gameplan was to let Bron eat and defend everyone else. You could make the argument that it worked but regardless of how "great" GS' defense is, the other role players for Cle played like hot garbage and can really only get better from there. That's not a sustainable defensive model for GS.
