I’m trying to get some certs to get a career in IT.. I was talking to @DrDoom and he told me how he got his CompTIA+ certs & within 3 months he had a job as a NOC analyst...
But someone else I talked to said something different... they said
“The CompTIA certs are entry-level and vendor neutral, meaning you really will only land an entry-level job with these certs. I have 5 (A+, Net+, Sec+, Linux+ and Project+).
They are a decent place to start, but I wouldn't bank on these certifications to find employment. Personally, I would start off with Net+ and follow it up with your CCENT, CCNA, and CCNA-Security certifications if you want to go the Network Security route. Or Sec+ to CISSP, for a Security Policy route.”
I want to make sure I make the right move, these classes are expensive & I don’t wanna waste time with the wrong classes
