I've got thousands. I created a blog back in 09 off the strength of my love of samples and the great music I discovered. I posted a few samples that definitely weren't well known prior to me posting. It's also helped me connect with older people too

One of my favorites, Roy Ayers - You Send Me

sampled by Bootie Brown on "The Hustle" by The Pharcyde

Schooling people takes forever; don't bother
time to post this again...spice adam's skit of not realizing most samples are just loops of original songs

there are bunch of samples that have a couple seconds of being great either in the intro or an inflection point but the rest of the song is mid as hell and it took a sampling to revitalize the original song, while other samples are just lazy rip off loops of already great songs, depends on what you want here, probably more into the obscure and completeness of the original sample being standalone great

5* thread automatically

One of the songs I came to love was Tom Scott's rendition of "Today" by Jefferson Airplane - from Pete Rock & CL Smooth's classic record T.R.O.Y. (They Reminisce Over You)

Will post a few more than come to mind later on.

Premier has the knack of making a little sample in a song a classic song just by looping it over and over, he can literally take one little sound and make a classic song out of it. I agree with everything you said BTW., all truth on how you can turn a mid as hell song and make it a classic song by using a sample from it.
