This is where I start to dislike choosing lol, cause I'm a huge Moe Dee fan, and I have a lot of respect and gratitude to Moe infact. I see him as a pioneer and a knowledgeable wise respectable Hip Hop head, though I don't always agree with him I do respect him, I like him, am a fan of his music and he's a brother I admire for many reasons. But Rakim is and was a phenomenon, a rhyming lyrical elite 1 of a kind unique MC, you OVERSTAND why he was called THE God MC, there is nothing like Rakim, you can't copy Rakim, you can't copy that flow combination with lyrics, rhythm, voice, laid back vocal presence while still having the fury and power, the knowledge, the righteousness, Rakim is the pinnacle of Hip Hop, nobody is hugely better than Rakim, better or not is debatable but Rakim is of the highest level and I give Rakim the biggest most heartfelt salute I can give because he is like a rhyming hero, he is Hip Hop with what he brought to the table, he is untraceable, there will never ever be another Rakim, there is 1. I will forever remember and exalt Rakim for what he has done for Hip Hop, 20-30-40 and so on years time if I'm alive will be bumping the R. So the vote goes to Rakim, but I have the upmost respect and admiration for both, but Rakim is probably in my top like, well I don't know, but at least 8, and probably higher than that. He's also 1 of my all time favourite MC's....

Rakim in a landslide for me.
you mean in a landfill with the rest of the trash. :troll:

He's in my top five so this was an easy vote. His smooth flow and delivery is top notch. I remember in high school when I found out about him and checked his work, I knew he had incredible skills.

The Wrong Side of the Tracks
This is surprisingly easy: Rakim takes this and here's why.....

You had to be a teenager when this song dropped to truly understand the impact it had on the landscape of hip-hop.

There was NOTHING like this on the radio at the time.

Dude took your brain and made it stop to comprehend what he was spittin'......and he wrote this when he was 14 years old.

:mindblown:

he was rhyming so many words and syllables in 2 lines and had complex rhyme patterns to go along with the multis.

REALLY horrible matchup

Vote goes to Rakim

Kool Moe Dee is Rakim's predecessor

-Intelligent rhymes, scientific, philosophical, very lyrical

First Kool Moe Dee, then Rakim, then Nas, then Lupe
