As noted, WWE is advertising Brock Lesnar for the upcoming live event at Madison Square Garden in New York City on October 3rd. According to F4WOnline.com, Brock Lesnar’s new deal with WWE saw an increase in pay, but it also saw an increase in the amount of matches Lesnar wrestles as well as live event appearances.
According to new advertisements, former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar is appearing at a WWE live event on Saturday, October 3rd at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The new ads feature both Lesnar and Paul Heyman for the show, but Lesnar’s opponent has not been revealed yet. The following matches have been announced, including an appearance by Chris Jericho, who is celebrating his “25th wrestling anniversary” that night.
- John Cena vs Seth Rollins
- Dolph Ziggler vs Rusev
- Sheamus vs. Randy Orton
The interesting part in all of this, is that the MSG show will be only the second non-televised live event Lesnar has worked since his 2012 return, including this month’s “Beast In The East” WWE Network special, and first the United States based live event in eleven years.
While it’s unconfirmed and speculation at this point, WWE could use this to air their next WWE Network exclusive show. They decided to make the Tokyo show a big event once Lesnar was involved, and it’s been reported that WWE does want to air more exclusive live event “hybrid” specials on the WWE Network.
WWE has also announced the following ticketing info for the MSG event:
