On a snowy day in January 2014, in the Puritan town of Coliville, a crowd gathers to witness an official punishment. A slew of posters have been found guilty of stannery and must wear a scarlet "S", ('S' is a symbol of stannery) on their profile as a sign of shame. Furthermore, they must come and be exposed to public humiliation. These retched souls include the following:

I formally request that these scum be branded with a "stan" tag so that all who encounter them shall know what they are dealing with. A stan is a vile creature who has never nestled up against the bosom of objectivity and suckled at the teet of rationality. No, dear brehthers, their breed has not experienced this comfort. And maybe, even more scarily, they probably cannot.
They have lay in a bed of obscene and ridiculous thoughts for so long that their reality has been warped to a point where they fail to recognize decency and reasonableness. In some miserable basement they feverishly type paragraphs on top of paragraphs about how Artist A is the greatest and how Artist Z lost.
They can no more appreciate that these artist do not actually know them or care what they have to say than they can tolerate opinions that are divergent from theirs. Tis a shame.
I shall be the first to cast a stone at these pathetic specimen. You, gentlemen, are not gentle at all. You are hard.
Hardened in your thinking. Hardened into thinking your way of thinking should be the standard. You are wrong.
Nevertheless, I am both amused and disgusted with you. I admire you.
And I despise you. 
You breathe life into our community with the fukkery you create, and sometimes insightful discussion, too. Unfortunately, you also bring death as you are perpetually posturing and killing good dialogue about hip-hop because of your extreme positions and general disposition. Alas, this is both an appreciation thread and a unappreciation thread.
So what you all need is...
a handshake,
a hug,
a stern look in the eye,
and a "stan" tag. @bk, @Brooklynzson, make this happen breh brehs. Brand them.
Maybe then they'll see the error of their ways and repent.

As a NaS stan,I also listen to everyone ranging from wayne,jay,gucci,kendrick, and so on. I even almost had my stan card revoked for proping up certain southern rappers and NaS' so called rival jayz. Also I've been critical of some of his work notably Streets Disciple as @
