This is also a guide to 2013.

Disclaimer: Much like G.I. Joe this year, just because something is slated to come out in 2013 doesn't mean it will. I will check back on this list periodically to see what came out and what didn't, what worked and what didn't....as long as the website doesn't go :hamster: on me

January 4

Texas Chainsaw 3D - Not a big fan of horror movie but I'm and a big fan of Alexandra Daddario, so go see this movie to see her in 3D :manny:

January 11

Gangster Squad - Remember than trailer that had the scene with them shooting up the movie theater, this is that movie with the scene removed. Its got Josh Brolin and Ryan Gosling with Sean Penn as the villian. It also has Emma Stone as a femme fatale which I am buying..... For now.

A Haunted House - We got three Black Suffrage movies (Red tails, Lincoln, Django) last year and no Wayans Brothers film. 2013 hopes to revese that. Also starring Essence Atkins which we will hope shows a little bit more than that tight t-shirt she had on in How High. And we will be disappointed.

Zero Dark Thirty - I know this is on everyone's list for 2012, but I'm putting it here because I can't see it untill January 11.

January 18

Broken City - This is your Hughes Brothers movie. It stars Mark Wahlberg, Russel Crowe, Catherine Zeta Jones who looks okay in this movie Political/crime thriller.

Last Stand - I guess this is Schwarzenegger first full flegde action movie since being governor. Forest Whitaker is also in it.

Mama - Still not a big fan of horror movie, but Jessica Chastain looks fine as shiet in this movie. She's also in Zero Dark Thirty so y'all better hop aboard that train. :leostare:

January 25

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters - Starring Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton who is another Britan known chick hoping she can do more than crossover the pond. Famke Jensen looks good as a witch but not good when they put the CGI over her already cracking face. And then there was the disaster that was Snow White last year. This will probably be matinee status at best.

Movie 43- Some ensemble independant comedy (or at least we hope) starring Elizabeth Banks. A couple of points: Who is still giving Hallie Berry roles when its clear she is old and crazy and if you can get past the :41 minute mark in the trailer, you are a better man than me.

Parker - That Jason Statham Jennifer Lopez you seen the trailer for by now. If you like either one of them, I guess you'll like this movie :yeshrug:

February 1

Bullet to the Head -Its that Sylvester Stallone with an asian side kick movie

Stand up Guys - Christopher Walken has until the end of the movie to kill Al Pacino

Warm Bodies - The first of many Twilight ripoffs though some came out already, they just didn't work

February 8

Identity Thief - Jason Bateman fights a fat woman for 90 minutes.

Side Effects - Rooney Mara follow Dragon Tattoo with is movie about taking an experimental drug that goes wrong. Also stars Jude Law and Channing Tatum

February 13

Beautiful Creatures - Another Twilight ripoff

February 14

A Good Day to Die Hard - A PG-13 Die Hard sequel, pray for no harriers

Safe Haven - Nicholas Sparks novel adaptation, Two Pretty people fall in love and then something happens to one of them. The pretty people in this movie are Josh Duhamel and Julianne Hough.

February 22
Snitch - Dwayne Johnson is some drug runner movie.

March 1

Jack the Giant Slayer - Bryan Singer directs this adaptation of Jack and the Beanstalk.

March 8

Admission - Tina Fey as a Princeton University admissions officer

Oz: The Great and Powerful - Alice in Wonderland came out a few years back as a so-so movie that jumped in the top five (at that time) domestically grossing movies of all time. Disney, not one to leave money in peoples pocket, decided to adapt the other classic children's story they've own the rights to since forever. Sam Raimi direct and pulls James Franco from the Spider-Man series to be lead actor. This tale is a prequel to Wizard of Oz and is about the wizard and not Dorothy, but they have two mousey looking actress to make up for it in Mila Kunis and Michelle Williams. Rachel Weisz is the wicked witch.

March 15

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone - Steve Carell is getting roles :aicmon: this time as a Las Vegas street magician who is getting outshined by Jim Carrey.

March 29

G.I. Joe Retaliation - Delayed to get a 3D touch up and to give Channing Tatum a larger role. This is when this movie finally comes out. Also stars Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis.

Host - Yet another Twilight ripoff

Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor - Tyler Perry movie that is all the rave across the Coli :rambo:

So that does it for the First Quarter of 2013, be back in a few minutes to get into the second quarter. Meantime, the poll for the movies that you would like to see in 2013 will also be up. The poll will be for movies coming out the entire year.

April 5

Heat - That Sandra Bullock cop movie with a fat sidekick you've seen the trailers for

April 12

42 - Just in time for baseball season, its a Jackie Robinson biopic. Probably the only black suffrage movie you are getting this year. Harrison Ford plays Branch Rickey

Oblivion - Tom Cruise on a Post-Apocalyptic Earth. Tom doesn't disappoint as long as he is not on Oprah's couch.

Scary Movie 5 - Ashley Tisdale singing career never worked out so why not take a crack at being a leading actress. She was pretty much Jessica Simpson with not as big boobs but also not fat. Plus, going Hollywood usually means you're going to lose weight anyway. She will replace Anna Faris who is acting like she got something better to do which if you seen that Movie 43 trailer clearly she doesn't. But, it could also be a youth movement which is why Regina Hall is not back replaced by some loudmouth (Erica Ash) that somebody in the Coli will simp over. The other controversy in this movie, besides having Mike Tyson and Kendra Wilkinson in it, is Lindsay Lohan refusing to kiss Charlie Sheen in the mouth, like that was beneath her. 50 cent didn't give her a million dollars for nothing.

April 26

Pain & Gain - The Deal with the Devil that Michael Bay made with Paramount in order for him to direct another Transformers movie is this bodybuilders' heist movie that he been trying to make since forever. I'll let you decide who is the devil here. Stars Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson, and Anthony Mackie

May 3

Iron Man 3 - This is the start of the summer season, and this is a great way to start it off. So after Avengers becomes the top 3 film of all time., Iron Man 3 budget balloons to 225 million in order to make the greatest comic book movie ever. High expectations await these Marvel Phase 2 movies, anything less that 400 million domestic will be a disappointment. I am not going to get all nerd on you with the plot but lets just say the focus of the movie is : Who is the real hero, the suit or Tony Starks himself. I expect a Hulk Cameo in this movie as well in spite of the fact they are still denying it. They denied that Coulson was going to die in Avengers. The other Avengers are going to be in the Captain America movie and he doesn't fit in any of the others.

May 10

The Great Gatsby - The Novel adaptation that ran from the Hobbit (like they had anything to be scared of) starring Leonardo Dicaprio. It should be this years Dark Shadows (expensive bomb)

May 17

Star Trek into Darkness - Iron Man took its beginning of May spot, so it had to settle for the middle of May. The film was delayed until J.J. Abrams could be bought back into the director's chair as opposed to MI4 which couldn't wait any longer and made him slide over to executive producer. This film also ran from Hobbit for no reason. The big buzz on this film is that their is a Khan like villian in this movie.

May 24

Fast Six - I'm still trying to figure out what bean counter told them that they didn't need to be a March/April release anymore and that they could hold down Memorial Day. Maybe it was Barack Obama's reelection. I remain skeptical. The car heist team is in Europe now. And this movie is supposed to be the first of two parts, but the movies will be filmed separately.

Hangover part 3 - You already know what the gimmick is going to be, switch a couple of elements here and there to qualify a sequel. I guess the last one made money.

May 31

The Purge - Ethan Hawke stars in another slimy sci-fi flick and who better to have as his co-star than Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister)

June 7

After Earth - M. Night Shyamalan teams up with Will Smith and his son in this
Post-Apocalyptic Earth thriller

Much Ado About Nothing - So how does Joss Whedon follow up Avengers? By directing this adaptation of a William Shakespeare play, that's how :D Starring every fan favorite of any tv show or movie he has ever been a part of: Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof, Nathan Fillion, Clark Gregg, Fran Kranz, Sean Maher, and Ashley Johnson. Have fun with the Google Search!!! :whoo:\

June 14

Man of Steel- The Christopher Nolan produced, Zack Snyder directed Superman movie. Superman with gritty realism. Also ran from Hobbit for no reason. Also stars Amy Adams and Lawrence Fishburne

This is the End - Some end of the world movie that will still don't know what its about, but them partying off Michael Cera's demise is pretty good. Starring ames Franco, Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride and Craig Robinson.

June 21

World War Z - Brad Pitt Zombie Movie. The internet is aflamed over the whether they are really zombies or not and Lost scribe Damon Lindelof doing the screenplay.

June 28

Kick-Ass - Ask yourself, do you really care about this sequel. The first movie was aight and that's being honest about it. Matthew Vaughn steps out of the director's chair but still did the screenplay.

White House Down - Roland Emmerich follows the disaster of his faux Shakespeare mystery Anonymous with this movie about terrorists taking over the White House. Jamie Foxx is the President and Channing Tatum is the hero.

So that is it for the second quarter. Stay tuned as I finish up the summer movies and get into the dreg that is fall.

Clicked everything, would click pretty much everything in the thread.

Definitely not seeing Scary Movie 5. Saw the trailer for the first time last night...and there was literally nothing funny/clever in it. Probably not a good sign.

July 3

The Lone Ranger - in the coveted July 4 tentpole release Gore Verbinski, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Johnny Depp team up in this Western Adaptation. Armie Hammer, who played the Crew Jock twins in Social Network stars as the title character

July 12

Pacific Rim - Guillermo del Toro direct this movie which is supposed to be Transformers but good. Remote Control robots fight space aliens.

July 26

The Wolverine - Hugh Jackman goes to Japan in what is supposed to be present day after the X-men break up.

August 2

300: Rise of an Empire - This ends the summer movie season and I'm only listing this movie because of that reason. A prequel to the movie 300 which doesn't age well :snoop:, it stars Eva Green who when she is not nude is a waste of space.

August 16

2 Guns - Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington star as federal agents that are investigating each other stealing money from the mob.

Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters - I still believe in my heart of hearts that this is as close as you are going to get to cloning Harry Potter. Delayed amost four years to work out the kinks from the last movie.

September 6

Riddikk - David Twohy, Vin Diesel, and Karl Urban try to see if there is any life left in this franchise in this Pitch Black style sequel.

September 27

The Tomb - Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger star in this prison escape thriller

That does it for the third quarter, see you in a minute to finish this all up

October 4

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For - Which won't be in this movie to finish the title. This is the part of the preview where alcohol would be good to break up the monotonous. Another sequel to another adaptation that doesn't age well.

October 11

Captain Phillips - Biopic of Captain Richard Phillips who was taken hostage by Somali Pirates during the Maersk Alabama hijacking in 2009. Stars Tom hanks and directed by Paul Greengrass

Oldboy - Spike Lee directs this Japanese manga adaptation with Samuel L. Jackson and the youngest Olsen sister.

November 1

Ender's Game - And adaptation of both Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow starring Harrison Ford and Ben Kingsley

November 8

Thor: The Dark World - As I said big expectations await these Phase 2 Marvel movies, anything less that 200 million domestic is a disappointment as Chris Helmsworth will now be getting that leading actor push. Kenneth Branagh dropped out as director choosing to do the Jack Ryan reboot. He was replaced with a Game of Thrones director who should do okay since this film mostly takes place on Asgard yet still finding a way to put Natalie Portman and Kat Dennings in the movie.

December 13

Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug - What should have been one of the biggest films of the year has its expectation tempered with the critical and financial disappointments of the first movie. Still the show must go on.

Decemeber 25

Jack Ryan - Kenneth Branagh directs the reboot with Chris Pine and Keira Knightley

no pacific rim? :comeon:

July 12

Pacific Rim - Guillermo del Toro direct this movie which is supposed to be Transformers but good. Remote Control robots fight space aliens.

some romantic comedies I didn't care to do, there is a Vince Vaughn/Owen Wilson movie I couldn't get a solid date for. Anchorman 2 is coming out in December and I don't care for Anchorman so I didn't do it.
