SOUTH CENTRAL REGION

1. Ice Cube vs. 16. K-Rino
8. Too $hort vs. 9. Da Brat
5. Schooly D vs. 12. Super-Lover Cee
4. Big Punisher vs. 13. Smooth The Hustler
7. MC Eiht vs. 10. MAC(no limit)
2. Chuck D vs. 15. MC Shan
6. MC Lyte vs. 11. Dana Dane
3. GrandMaster Caz vs. 14. Canibus

Bolded the choices. Lol K-Rino vs Ice Cube? K-Rino going out as Cube the bigger/ more well known star.

To elaborate on a few choices, pick K-Rino as is a better lyricist, more conceptual, better body of work to me, better content, more flows and more depth/positivity. At least it isn't a case of Banks knocking him out where was an artist not on the same level, at least Cube is a legend in his own right. So cool.

Pun has to be my choice against nearly everybody, amazing MC. Incredible.

Chuck over MC Shan, even though I like Shan but due to content, vocal presence, albums and classic material have to pick Chuck.

Canibus over Caz which I feel bad about cause Caz is a legend and pioneer in his own right but Bis has a deeper recorded body of work so that is the main reason have to pick Bis.

quick comments:

smooth the hustler's album was better than anything big pun ever did.

cannibus is one of the biggest dissappointments. i do think he should get more props tho. i'd still take him over eminem, who done went and sold a gazillion records. we know why, but still.

I have to say, I always really liked Yeahh Baby, was around a 4.5 mic album to me. I loved it, I get people will disagree but had some great classic joints to me. I still bump it often, Capital Punishment I believe is better yeah, but Yeahh Baby was excellent to me, maybe different a bit and not what people expected but them joints were ill to me.

Make the case for Caz.

Yeah, I'd be interested for debates sake too, I can see why Caz based on pioneering, legacy, group etc, freestyling, live performance etc. I normally judge off body of work though, and I do listen to Caz frequently but a lot of his shyt was on them old tapes, it's hard to get a hold of.

:ohhh:
I need to listen to that then. Pun's album was serious...
Notice how I said album...I don't even acknowledge the second one :lolbron:

the bul @FreshAIG made me take notice to that album. i dont know if he agrees with what i just said, but i always gotta tag him out of appreciation for putting me on, whenever smooth's name comes up. cuz i slept on him & trigga heavy, even tho my cousin loved "broken language".

Caz definitely deserves a lot of respect, he's 1 of the most important MC's of all time in that early era. A lot of his best shyt ain't even recorded. In terms of historically Caz would win against most people, he is a true pioneer and legend. A lot of people sleep on him due to the lack of recorded material at 1 point. Myself included, but it's cause I was too young at the time, I had to go back, in around I think 2003 - 2004 and get really put on to Caz.

This joint is crazy, love this shyt, people underrate Caz as an MC cause he was versatile and could do the party style, but he could wreck the mic too..
