tlanta’s rap scene is nothing if not varied. From old-timers on the third decade of their careers to internet-inflaming youngsters, the city’s rap scene has something for everyone. This includes Democrats and Republicans.
The midterm elections split some of the city’s most iconic figures down the middle—on the one hand David Perdue, the Republican incumbent and winner, curried favor with Waka Flocka. Flocka endorsed the Perdue campaign earlier this year, and also appeared at the candidate’s victory party.
Lil’ Jon, meanwhile, retweeted several messages from the challenger, Democrat Michelle Nunn. The longtime Rock The Vote advocate flew to Georgia to vote after he never received his absentee ballot.
