Here's what I'd do. Go to your local sporting goods store, look at bikes, etc that you like. Look up that model # on craigslist and then you'll probably find a bunch of people selling them cheap. I saw a machine I liked at sports authority that was over 1k online for 350 obo. There are a few bikes at dikk's Sporting Goods that were solid that I contemplated buying.figured i could be riding a bike or something while watching tv

Whatever you do, do NOT get Gold's Gym cardio equipment. shyt is cheaply made as fukk, I snapped two ellipticals I bought from walmart at the wheel part while using it full resistance.

Jump rope and a little space. Less than $10. $20 if you get a deluxe one or a brand name. I can assure you there is no technology needed in a jump rope.
If you have issues where jump rope won't work, craigslist a good bike or elliptical like mentioned above. There is little reason to buy new workout equipment. Practically all used equipment is practically brand new.
